The pieces which appear here were all written for either The Journal of the Cricket Society or Cricket Lore.

Cricket Lore was a magazine for subscribers edited by a cricket lover who lived in north London called Richard Hill.  In the dimly remembered days before the Web and the blogosphere democratized writing about cricket, it served a valuable purpose in allowing a certain type of article – not quite suitable for either the newspapers or the established magazines – to see the light of day.
