It’s something of an arbitrary distinction, but the pieces reproduced here are ones which are based around, or carry the flavour of, a particular place, although at least two of these could just as easily have appeared under People or Times.

No matter.  Having seen more cricket at Taunton than anywhere else over the past few decades, it’s not surprising that these relate to cricket at the County Ground:  a freezing early season day in 2012, the time in 2013 when Jos Buttler paid his first return visit as a Lancashire player, and Tom Abell’s innings of 95 on his first-class debut in 2014.

There are few better places to watch cricket.
